If you could magically transform yourself into any character you’ve read, written, or watched, who would you become?
Oh, me first?
Galadriel, of course!
Your turn . . .

I want to be a Cartwright living on the Ponderosa. 😎
Haha, Brenda . . . no surprise there.
That actually sounds better than living in 2024 urbanville, IMHO. Let us know what kind of pony you end up with, K?
Thanks for dropping in this morning. 🙂
Oh, no, Brenda! All the women who showed up at the Ponderosa were killed off, Cartwrights or not. Look what happened to Ben’s three wives, not to mention every single woman who was loved by one of them. 😉
Good point!
LOL! The Cartwright Curse. When I watch it on the weekends and the woman is killed or bows out, I tell the Cartwright, “Don’t worry, there’ll be another woman of your dreams next week.” LOLOL!!!!!!
That aside, they lived the life. Horseback everywhere. Wide open spaces. I’ll take my chances. 😎
🙂 🙂
Mr. Spock of the “MIrror, Mirror” alternate universe. Oh, yeah.
Fascinating, Mike! Can you do that hand thingy that Spock does? I never could master it.
So far, we have the Cartwright ranch and the alternate universe. Let’s see what’s next. We might end up with an all-star TKZ cast, making our own eclectic movie, right?
Have a good one, Mike…
This is harder than it looks. I started thinking about the easy ones. James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, but maybe not. Han Solo? Billy Pilgrim? I almost went with Billy Pilgrim. In the end, I could be happily living in a zoo with a porn star and able to bounce through time. Dr. Who? Would be nice to tie up some of his/hers loose ends.
I am going with Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. Indiana Jones. A long life of adventure and glory. Scratch that. Richard Blane, saloonkeeper. Here is looking at you kid.
In the end, I could be happily living in a zoo with a porn star and able to bounce through time.
Hahahahaha! You crack me up, Alan.
Hi, Sue! Yeah, the porn zoo thing was hysterical for sure.
What about you? Which creepy murderer/hero detective would you choose? Inquiring minds want to know…
I was leaning toward Dexter Morgan, for the blood splatter expertise of course, but I wouldn’t want his “dark passenger” or his haunting memories.
Honestly, I’m stumped on this one. Unless, of course, I can choose from my books. In which case, I’d love to be Mayhem. 😉
Of course you can choose from your books, Sue . . . I mean, Mayhem!
🙂
So it goes.
Good morning, Alan. Wow, who to choose–who to choose? Han Solo would be my pick. Cool guy. But IJ would be fun, too.
Maybe you could audition for all of them, then pick, hey?
Thanks for stopping by & have a good weekend.
Great question, Deb. Like Alan, I’d love to give the Doctor (Who AKA “John Smith”) a whirl. In terms of my own writing, I already become my characters in a real sense, and they me, so I’m covered there. So many choices for characters I’ve read—too many to choose this early here on the West Coast 🙂
Good morning, Dale.
I already become my characters in a real sense, and they me… Indeed! I think we can all relate to that. And as a reader, a truly well-written, character-driven story will transform me into each of them, causing me to live the story with them. Good point you bring up.
How’s the smoke in your area? We are smothered in it here in our little valley in Central WA. From Oregon, Canada, and dozens of wild fires in our own state. We even saw black ash yesterday, falling into our yard. I think it used to be trees… 🙁
Have a good one, my friend!
Who am I… 24601.
Who am I… I’m captain jack sparrow.
Actually, I’d want to be a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The problem is, I can’t decide who since everyone is so science-y and I’m not. I was first thinking someone at Peter Parker’s school, then maybe Shuri’s friend, but I would not have any fun in a science lab.
So many choices, so little time…right, AZali? Jack Sparrow would be fun, I agree!
I might choose to be Superman or Spiderman for just a bit so I can get the hang of flying without a plane. Always wanted to try that.
Thanks for adding to our TKZ casting call this morning, and have a great weekend…
Just curious, AZali…what’s 24601? Code for . . . ?
It’s from the musical Les Miserables. I might have gotten some of the numbers mixed, but it’s Jean Valjean’s prisoner number and there’s a song literally titled “who am I”
Ah, okay! Thanks for clearing that up for me.
🙂
Also, if I can’t be a Cartwright I’d work with the Hardy Boys. They always solved their cases, never had to worry about finances of travel or investigating and they always saved the day.
Perfect, Brenda!
We could have a rotation of TKZ members on the Hardy Boys payroll.
Speaking of, who knew that “MacGyver”, in addition to being a title, would become a verb? Such as, “He MacGyvered that tractor until it started right up.”
Thanks for stopping by and playing with us today!
I’d like to be Kinsey Milhone in 1980s California.
Hi Elaine!
Had to look that one up…I haven’t read any Grafton. I must rectify that situation immediately. It sounds like a great series.
Thanks for hangin’ with us this morning, and have a great weekend.
Oh, this is a hard one. So many characters I’ve read have miserable lives, like the screen ones. I’m loving the book I’m reading right now, Never a Hero (and its previous one, Always a Monster) but like I said, miserable life. Maybe one of Nora Roberts’s characters in her fantasies usually ends with a positive experience, lol. Plus, they are lucky in life and love, so…
Good choice, Traci. Her stories have twists and turns, but it seems like it’s always satisfying at the end when the hero/heroine “kill” the monsters and go off into the sunset. I like stories that show who the good guys and bad guys are clearly, but show both as not all good and not all bad.
Have a good weekend!
Hey Gang!
Looks like we have a plethora of varied characters we’d like to disappear into, hey?
Wonder what kind of MS we can come up with?
Wouldn’t it be fun to write one with all of these characters time traveling back and forth to harass each other?
Just thinkin’ out loud…🤡🤡🤡
Dirty Harry.
Now why am I not surprised?
😂😂😂
Thanks for bringin’ in a good guy with a gun, James!
“Go ahead, punk. Make my day.” LOOOOOOOOVE that line.

Spider-Man / MacGyver / Raylan Givens / Conan the Barbarian / Seely Booth
Ahh, Warren, MacGyver would be too cool.

Agreed, Brenda. I’m going to my movie shelf now…
