When I was a kid I had the biggest crush on Hayley Mills in Pollyanna. Who did you have a crush on when you were young?

David Cassidy – The Partridge Family. π
I was expecting to see a few David Cassidys today, Joan.
Now, is there a Bobby Sherman out there?
ALL the Monkees, and David Cassidy. Though Bobby Sherman was first choice for being the father of my children.
Oy. It seems like a lifetime ago. I had a big-time crush on David Cassidy from The Partridge Family and Micky Dolenz from The Monkees. Later, my tastes moved toward rock stars. David Lee Roth topped the list.
Partridge Family >> Monkees >> Van Halen seems like natural selection, Sue.
I had lots of crushes but not on the people you’d expect:
Kevin Tighe (Roy DeSoto) from Emergency
Chad Everett (Joe Gannon) Medical Center
Pernell Roberts (Adam Cartwright) Bonanza
I don’t know if I’d call it a crush–but I was a Starsky & Hutch groupie back in the day.
To a lesser extent, Parker Stevenson (Frank Hardy) The Hardy Boys
I always thought Pernell Roberts was the best actor of that bunch.
Yep. hands down.
Oh man…Adam. He was my favorite Cartwright by far. I was crushed when I found out he wore a rug.
LOL! Yes it would be better if it were his own but I still love that guy. Missing hair or no, he had “the stuff”.
UMMM – Chad Everett – the original McDreamie!!!
Michael Jackson – when I was 9 or 10 I asked my mother if we could move to Gary so that I could go to school with Michael. She said she didn’t think he went to school – granted she meant tutor, etc, but I was 9 or 10 and I thought she meant that he was so cool and wonderful that he didn’t have to go to school anymore. That just made him even better.
And let’s not forget the crush I shared with my mother – Tom Jones.
Oh – yeah – I remember Parker Stevenson – had his poster on my wall.
Okay — this is going to date me. I had a real thing for Roy Rogers and Sky King. Then later, Johnny Bench.
And how could I forget the biggest one — much later when I should have beyond such things — Tom Selleck
I wasn’t into Tom Selleck then, but I do like him now. It’s funny how taste change.
Roy Rogers wasn’t a crush but I wanted him to adopt me so I could live on his ranch and ride horses all the time. π
That was me. Every Saturday I put on my cowboy boots, draped a rope with two loops over the record hassock (my idea of stirrups), used a belt for reins, and rode wherever Roy’s adventures took me. A much simpler life back then.
William Shatner, DeForest Kelley, and Leonard Nimoy. (Star Trek much, Priscilla?)
LOVE Leonard Nimoy. That he can’t be Spock any more breaks my heart every day.
Priscilla, I got to see DeForest Kelley in a play after his Star Trek years. Got his autograph!
The Marlboro Men.
About 3am on a Saturday morning, my friend and I were two drunk girls on the Long Island Railroad. She was the lookout while I stole the poster of the Marlboro Man from the display case.
Excellent! I hope you still have it.
Now I give my age away, but my crush was huge and it was Annette Funicello from the Mickey Mouse Club. I raced home from school every day to watch.
Brian, you just beat me to it. I had this ready before I refreshed my screen:
OK. I’ll age myself. Annette. “M-i-c…” Loved “both” Haley Millses in “The Parent Trap,” but more for the story–romantic that I am–than in terms of a crush.
Great minds thinking alike. Annette’s beach movies were great too.
My sister loved Annette Funicello. She wanted to name me Annette. My mother said if I was born on the October 22nd (Annette’s b’day) she could name me. Obviously, I didn’t arrive on the 22nd since my name is Michelle.
Karen Valentine from Room 222
I wanted to BE Haley Mills.
But the first crush I can remember was Guy Williams in Zorro.
FIrst it was Linda Evans on The Big Valley. I was five or six. That relationship lasted until Bionic Woman Lindsay Wagner came along and swept me off 7 year old feet. Then as I got older and more sophisitcated Wonder Woman Linda Carter caught my eye. All that was for nought though, when couple years later, in high school, I saw Jane Seymour in the Somewhere in Time, and I had to break it off with all the others.
I am so sorry ladies. I loved you all so truly, and deeply but Jane captivated me for the rest of my youth.
Lucky for me, my wife came along and stole me heart and soul.
Sorry Jane…we could have had something beautiful.
I once had a crush on Zhang Ziyi, meeting her on the set of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon while travelling in China. If she hadn’t take to throwing stones at me and running at me with swords to keep me from following her around, we could’ve had something amazing.
Boffin, please use your own login to makes posts…I don’t want people thinking I’m a weirdo.
Sorry Mister Basil, I was just so enamoured with the memories of how beautiful Ms. Zhang looked as she swung that sword at me. I was swept away.
Cat Stevens. I used to sleep with his album between my mattresses, convinced as I was that it would make it possible to see him in my dreams.
Raquel Welch. Had a poster of her on the back of my bedroom door.
