  1. Max Quarry would probably be played by Bradley Cooper.
I’d love it if Dylan Videtich would be played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

And Joe, I love the way Goggins plays Boyd. My mentor character looks totally different, closer to a biker-version of Tom Sizemore, but in my head he speaks EXACTLY the way Crowder does.

    • I think it’s selling the show short to label it like that, but then I was never a Sopranos fan (more for the subject matter and setting than the writing or acting). As for JUSTIFIED, I really love the writing and the interplay between characters who are at odds but sometimes have to form shaky alliances. If you have the chance, Kathryn, give it a shot. I’m betting you’ll love the primary antagonist for Season 2, Mags Bennett. She’s really well done.

  2. I would have to say Jenkins’ Chace Crawford and Zac Efron.
Although they are not identical twins, or even brothers they could certainly pass for them, and could easily fall into the age category.
I began writing this story some time ago–put it away, and then saw the movie AVATAR.
I thought it was similar to the story I had started, and now I am 54000 words first draft.
Now, with this blog, I am waiting for my phone to ring…lol

  3. Since I am now so addicted to the new TV series HANNIBAL, it would have to be Hugh Dancy who plays Will Graham on the show. He’ s not as beefy as I picture my character Gabriel Cronan, but there is something haunting about him that works.

  4. Viggo Mortenson as Captain Grant Elliot and Reese Witherspoon as the protagonist, Kelly Cooper. As for the villain, I think a good pick would be Hugo Weaving, the dude who played Agent Smith in The Matrix Trilogy.

  5. I cut my cable a while back so I’m not up on all these new-fangled folk (and get off my lawn!) However, in the movie inside my head while I write, my FBI agent is described as “Springsteen, circa 1990” and my female lead has a definite touch of old school Angelina.

  6. Warrior Rogue action moves from Tokyo to Hong Kong to Manhatten to Palm Beach. It woudl make a great film. When I wrote it, I pictured Josh Holloway as the character from “Lost” as my hero, Paz.

  7. Jennifer Lawrence would be a doppelgänger for my investigative reporter, Kate Gallagher, if she gained a few pounds (Jenwould have to gain, not Kate!). Kate’s on-again off-again British heartthrob would have to be played by Scottish actor Gerard Butler. Now I want to see those two together onscreen!

  8. Catalina Eddie – The Players
Dominic Bellagio played by John Cassavetes
Eduardo Catalanos played by Jimmy Smits
Marci Seagal played by Kimora Lee Simmons

  9. I cast all my stories. For the hero in my future crime thriller, Substitution, I picked the British actor Robert Emmanual. Great blue eyes, slightly rough around the edges, and young enough to play the part.

  10. Someone sympatico, and good-looking but not impossibly beautiful. Someone who survives through strength of will and intelligence… I’ve got it! When my Brenda Contay mystery series is launched in June (and immediately optioned), Jessica Chastain will have no choice but to play the lead.

  11. For DOHA 12, my international thriller, I’m shooting for a premium-cable two-parter:

Jake Eldar – Joseph Gordon-Levitt; Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains)
Miriam Schaffer – Lauren Stamile (Burn Notice); Juliet Aubrey (Primeval)
    Refael Gur – Javier Bardem
    Fadi Alayan – Waleed Zuaiter

  12. How would Selena Gomez work as a biker chick? or Mila Kunis? Would Matt Damon be too old for her love interest? Probably more Zac Efron. The antagonist would have to be Chase Crawford I think, a real boy next door. BFF Raven Symone.

  13. I always pictured Dwayne Johnson playing Mojo Johnson and Chris Evans as Mike Farris in my books 65 Below and Faithful as I wrote, but my constantly recurring character, Kharzai Ghiassi (who is also in my WIP unlike the other two)…I have not seen anyone who looks like the Kharzai I see in my mind….this guy comes pretty close though if you add a thick beard. Kharzai is a major character in my WIP as well as three of my four previous works.

There is a place for Sean Bean in my WIP albeit not as the main protag (Irish military contractor bit that fits nicely). For the female lead in my WIP ‘Myong Ma’, this Korean actress Uhm Jung Hwa seems a good match.

The male lead in this one…well he looks a lot like this guy…who is of course, me. First book I feel like I am seeing through my own eyes.
