“Work with all your intelligence and love. Work freely and rollickingly….Mentally (at least three or four times a day) thumb your nose at all know-it-alls, jeerers, critics, doubters.”– Brenda Ueland

“rollickingly”
Good word to start the day.
“Whatever is rightly done, however humble, is noble”
– Sir Henry Royce
What a great quote from Ueland. Working with all of your intelligence I take to mean your emotional intelligence and intuitive intelligence as well as cognitive. Write freely means don’t hamper yourself with self-doubt, judgement and expectation, and do it “rollickingly”. American Heritage Dictionary defines rollicking as “ Carefree and high-spirited; boisterous.” Be carefree, high spirited, and boisterous when you write.
In other words, don’t let AI rob you of your joy by doing your work for you.
“Carefree, high-spirited, and boisterous…”
We get to be kids again…running around, noisy, unchaperoned, and unfettered by the gr-ups!
