To pun, or not to pun . . .
Oh, what the hay, let’s do it! We love words, don’t we? Especially those words that make us laugh . . . an activity we most definitely need more of these days, right?
I ran across (not literally) a fun pun list on Steve Laube’s website the other day. Some were real coffee snorters.
I thought it’d be fun to mess around today and share a few.
Here’s a few from his list (used with permission):
I’m reading a book about antigravity. I can’t put it down.
Energizer bunny arrested. Charged with battery.
I changed my iPhone name to Titanic. It’s syncing now.
Okay, it’s your turn. Regale us with your favorite pun(s). But wait, first let me put my coffee down!

Good one, Jim!
I’m glad it doesn’t mention “woman” in that judgment… 🙂
Have a great Friday, my friend.
“I’m writing a book about glue—I can’t put it down!”—Librarian Humor
Haha, Terri!
You just pulled a memory out of my archives. My grandpa and grandma both worked for our local library when I was young. Grandpa drove the bookmobile and grandma had a tiny desk in the basement of the building, where she repaired bindings all the live long day. I loved visiting her there because of the smell of the glue and old paper.
Thanks for stopping by today, and hope you have a great weekend.
“I was reading a book about mazes. I lost myself in it.” ( I found this on a website but there was no attribution.)
Mornin’ Kay.
Yes, we’ve all read the same book I think. I just pre-ordered Mr. Gilstrap’s newest, Zero Sum, and I am seriously looking forward to losing myself in it.
Have a great day!
At the risk of being overly punny, I went fishing with a friend for the halibut but he ended up being a cod about it and I came home empty-handed. I’m not sure we can live on my celery now.
I’ll see myself out.
Dale, you are an over-achiever this morning for sure! Very punny . . . I mean, funny…
Have a great day with your celery… 🙂
I lost my poor pet Fluffy. It was a cat-astrophe. I’m not kitten. I cried for days and couldn’t paws. This is such a sad tail.
And . . . we have another over-achiever!
Y’all are coming up with some joe-snorters for sure.
Very emusing…(picture an emu, okay?) 🙂
